When I first head them I got so stoked. It's such a rare find to hear a group of people mixing folk elements with punk and doing a great job at it. Trumpets, violins, acoustic guitars and more. The singer has such a great style very reminiscent of Peter Murphy at times, but is not overdone. Even reminds me of Flux of Pink Indians or Omega Tribe. More obvious influence would be Death in June for sure... Lyrics are fucking awesome and you can feel the angst of a Southern Records album seeping through. This should be a contemporary 2010's modern punk classic.
1989! I always get lost in this track and am in disbelief that this was recorded in 1989. I think that it sounds like it would have been recorded more recently, but I guess that's what makes this track so timeless. It's effortless rhythm is so basic that it's of the most complex. The art of entrancement at it's finest. Spellbound.
yesssss... another fucking awesome album by the greats Black Angles. The sound is definitely maturing with better instrumentation as well as a wider range of vocals. This is a must for your collection. GET IT HERE
Dark, dingy, scummy, fucked up rock and roll. Another great fucking release from the one and only.
Get the deluxe version from Fuzz Club Records for an orange and black paint splat vinyl edition limited to 200 pressings. A must for the dark psych enthusiast.
Damn... Been listening to these guys for a while and felt like I should share. Outstanding musicianship with a roaring tigress on vocals. This a great live show, visually as well as aurally. Quality is good enough to rip too ;)
